Here comes the bride, all dressed in whatever she pleases.
Eva Amurri, daughter of actress Susan Sarandon and director Franco Amurri, is firing back at online criticism of her wedding dress after the digital content creator married chef Ian Hock over the weekend.
Amurri shared photos from the couple’s nuptials on Sunday in a joint Instagram post with People magazine. Amurri wore a strapless white, corseted dress by Kim Kassas, while Hock donned a custom navy-blue suit and vest from SuitShop, according to the outlet.
Amurri’s wedding gown led to a sartorial backlash in the comments section, with many criticizing how the dress accentuated Amurri’s cleavage.
The 39-year-old later took to her Instagram Story with a cheeky response to her detractors. In the since-deleted post, Amurri shared a pair of photos of her and Hock posing in their wedding attire. The second photo offered a close-up of Amurri’s cleavage area.

For many online, Amurri’s choice of wedding dress was considered too revealing for the occasion.
“I have a problem with that overhang of cleavage. The rest of the dress is amazing,” @ralita1234 wrote.
“Yeah strapless dresses aren't for everyone 😶,” @mary_anne1933 commented.

“Ummm… ma’am… I don’t know how to say this but I think you forgot the top to your dress,” @ginny203 wrote.
“What kind of example are you setting for your children?? Being half naked at your wedding,” @mlle.eva.diva commented.
Eva Amurri says she wanted to ‘feel sexy’ with wedding dress
Amurri married Hock on Saturday in a “French garden party”-inspired ceremony at Windrift Hall in New York's Hudson Valley, the couple confirmed to People magazine. Amurri’s mother Sarandon and her former partner, actor Tim Robbins, were both in attendance.
Amurri, who shares daughter Marlowe Mae and sons Major James and Mateo Antoni with ex-husband Kyle Martino, featured her children in the ceremony by having them perform a handfasting ritual.
“We really wanted to center our little family unit in all of it and make it as much about the kids as it was about us,” Amurri told the magazine. “All we really needed was the beautiful atmosphere, our nearest and dearest and a delicious party.”

Regarding her wedding dress, which she purchased at Bridal Reflections in New York City, Amurri said the sultry frock checked all her style boxes.
“I love how it has a vintage feel and is ultra feminine without being overly pouf(ed),” Amurri said. “I wanted to feel sexy but elegant, and I think the dress strikes the perfect balance.”
